So this Sunday was somewhat stressful, because I had two church services and a Riverview Church Class which Dawn and I had to provide childcare for. I completed that and then helped Katie with something she was working on. I then drove over to Noel’s house in Kerstin’s Saturn. I had to pick up a video from him and he asked me to jump his car and drive to the mechanic with him.
If you’re still tracking with me, mad props!
Well it is supposed to take like 25 minutes. In and out. Easy. Right.
I pop the hood and we (Noel and I) start connecting the batteries to jump his little Chevy Geo. There is a cap on the red terminal so I try to take it off. Then the whole terminal and wire connection fall out of the battery. I’m like, “Ooh crap! I broke Kerstin’s car.”
Noel takes a look at it and then we jump his car with his Jygorgus Van.(I know that’s not a word.) We ask for the help of Kyle. (The local super cool metro-sexual guy that’s almost related to me) He knows about stuff like this. All of us, Noel, Kyle, and I, work on it for a little while in the bitter bitter bitter cold. We decide that we should go buy a battery and ask the guys there how to fix this rotted terminal to the battery wire problem.
We drop off his car and then get the battery run into a guy we know Brad Everett. He helps us we get the battery and shoot back to Noel’s house. At this point I had to cancel gathering, because this was taking a ridiculous amount of time. I move onto just fixing this car a.s.a.p.
Where was I?
O yeah, we get the battery and haul it back to Noel’s. We try to put it in and….it didn’t fit. It was too big for the car. O crap everything just closed. So Noel fixed it the next day and we ran over to my house just in time for people to arrive for small group.
We had a good conversation and then a couple hours later everyone left. It was a constant push with a little bit of excitement and a whole bunch of craziness.
I drew a picture to give you a visual of what occurred, unfortunately it wouldn't work upload. sorry.
Thanks for the time.
